Description
Ferrosilicon is an alloy of iron and silicon with a typical silicon content by weight of 15–90%. The alloy is mostly used as a deoxidant and an alloying element in steel production and in casting of irons. Ferrosilicon increases strength, hardness, temperature and corrosion to steel.
